Day 4—Mid town Manhattan
Following their final American breakfast , we never wanted to eat or see a bagel again, students began their last day in NYC by visiting Times square for the last time, followed by a walk up 5th Ave with visits to Trump Tower for some students. Students at this stage knew the walk from the hotel to Times square like the back of their hands. On return to the hotel, students stopped at Rockefeller center and St Patrick’s Cathedral. St. Pats is New York’s famous cathedral located actually in the center of New York. Pope Francis visited St Pats earlier in the year. Students stood next to the holy door of St. Patrick’s which was special as we are in a year of mercy. The cathedral itself has an Altar dedicated to our school founder St John Baptiste De La Salle.
