Lasallian Awards
The Lasallian Awards celebrate students who put our Lasallian values into action. They recognise the way students grow in faith, service, respect, learning and community, and encourage them to demonstrate what it truly means to be Lasallian.
Students progress through four levels of achievement: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each stage builds on the last, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the Five Lasallian Core Principles and show how they live them in school, at home and in the wider community.
Bronze Award — Year 7
Students begin their Lasallian journey by completing and evidencing one activity for each Core Principle. This introduces students to the values that shape life at De La Salle and encourages them to recognise how these values can be lived out in everyday actions.
Silver Award — Year 8
Students develop their commitment by completing and evidencing three activities for each Core Principle. At this stage, students are encouraged to take greater responsibility, reflect more deeply and become more actively involved in service, community and school life.
Gold Award — Year 9
Students demonstrate a sustained commitment to the Lasallian mission by completing and evidencing five activities for each Core Principle. The Gold Award recognises students who consistently show Lasallian values through their choices, relationships, learning and contribution to others.
Platinum Award
The Platinum Award is the highest level of achievement.
Students complete a more substantial challenge linked to each of the Five Core Principles, showing clearly how they have personally lived out that value. Evidence may include reflection, service, creative work, leadership, research, photographs or other meaningful contributions.
Students who complete the Lasallian Awards are recognised for the way they contribute to the life and mission of the school.
As part of the District Founder’s Day Service, eligible students are entered into a prize draw, with selected students receiving a special prize during the celebration.
The Lasallian Awards are about more than completing activities. They are designed to help students understand, experience and live the Lasallian mission, becoming young people who use their gifts in the service of others and help to create a brighter world.
